What are the symptoms of Social Anxiety?



Social Anxiety disorder can affect the person before, during, and/or after a social situation. These can be split in:

  1. Physical
  2. Emotional and Behavioral 
This is because of feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable about being noticed or judged by others. They might fear being embarrassed, looking foolish, making a mistake, being criticized or laughed at.

Some of the Physical Symptoms

  • Sweating
  • Fast Heartbeat
  • Shaking
  • Breathing problem
  • Dizziness

Some of the Emotional and Behavioral

  • Avoid social situation
  • Avoid being center of attention
  • Spending time thinking about how they appear to others
  • Intense anxiety before social situation
  • Overanalyzing or thinking about situations
